Helen Navarro Obituary

Helen Ranck Navarro, of Oxnard, CA, died on Monday, May 11, 2020. She was 85. Helen was born on April 26,1935 in the Philippines. She attended the University of the Philippines and earned a Masters Degree in Education and continued her love of learning which led her to several careers including teacher, cosmetologist, pharmacy & psychiatric technician, and always an entrepreneur. She was married to Emmanuel Feeney Navarro and built a home near Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. As an Air Force wife, they also lived Arizona, Florida, Texas and California.  She had a passion for cooking and although she was shy by nature, she loved to entertain close friends and family. She was a devout Catholic at Mary Star of the Sea Church and was a member of the Legion of Mary, Filipino Cursillo Movement, Augustinian Recollect Third Order, Eucharistic Minister, and was involved in many fundraising events. A unique, caring, and giving soul, she was the one you went to for personal advice, consolation during hardships, help with school tuition, and motivation to finish your education. She touched many lives, was loved, and will be greatly missed. Helen is survived by her husband, 5 children, Doreen, Camille, Rachelle, Charles, and Franklin, 13 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and a sister, Lillian. Helen’s

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated June 11, 2020, 1:00 p.m., in Mary Star of the Sea Church in Oxnard, followed by her burial at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery.
